Description:

In a fuel cell system, after the hydrogen at the stack anode participates in the reaction, besides the remaining hydrogen it also carries a large amount of liquid water (an electrochemical reaction product). If this water-containing hydrogen is directly recirculated to the stack inlet, the liquid water will enter the stack anode channel, causing anode flooding, blocked gas diffusion, degraded stack performance and even local damage. Therefore, before recirculating the anode outlet hydrogen to the stack inlet, the liquid water must be efficiently separated and discharged from the system, while keeping the hydrogen at an appropriate humidity to maintain the normal working state of the proton exchange membrane.

The core functions of the anode water separator include: efficient liquid water separation, water storage, timed drain and purge, and automatic cold-start heating and ice melting. This series uses the centrifugal separation principle: the liquid-containing hydrogen enters the separator chamber tangentially and produces centrifugal force during high-speed rotation; the denser droplets are thrown to the wall and slide down along the wall to gather in the bottom water storage chamber, while the dry hydrogen flows out from the central outlet and is recirculated to the stack inlet. Compared with baffle type and gravity type, the centrifugal water separator has the advantages of high separation efficiency, low flow resistance and small volume.

This series has undergone three generations of iterative development, achieving significant performance improvement and substantial cost reduction. The third-generation product uses a domestic drain solenoid valve and an optimized cyclone structure, realizing dynamic and static water-gas separation and making significant breakthroughs in flow resistance and separation efficiency.

The product offers a port customization service and can customize various port directions such as side-in side-out, top-in side-out (pipe connection/end-face connection) and side-in top-out according to the needs of multiple systems.

FAQ

Q1: Can you provide samples for testing?
A: Yes, we support sample orders for vehicle installation testing and performance verification, and also accept mixed-model sample orders.

Q2: What is the delivery lead time?
A: Sample orders usually take 5-7 working days; bulk orders (depending on order quantity) generally take 15-30 working days.

Q3: Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ) limit?
A: There is no strict MOQ limit; 5-piece sample trial orders are supported, and bulk order prices are more favorable.

Q4: Why does a fuel cell system need an anode water separator?
A: The hydrogen at the stack anode outlet contains a large amount of liquid water (an electrochemical reaction product). If the water-containing hydrogen is directly recirculated to the stack, it will cause anode flooding, blocked gas diffusion and degraded stack performance. The role of the anode water separator is to efficiently separate and discharge the liquid water, with dry hydrogen recirculated to the stack.

Q5: What is the working principle of the anode water separator?
A: This product uses the centrifugal separation principle: the liquid-containing hydrogen enters the separator tangentially and rotates at high speed; the denser droplets are thrown to the wall by centrifugal force and slide down to the bottom water storage chamber, while the dry hydrogen flows out from the central outlet.

Q6: What models does the HWS series have and what power do they fit?
A: The HWS series offers four models: HWS030 (0~30kW), HWS060 (30~60kW), HWS090 (60~120kW) and HWS200 (120~200kW).

Q7: Can the water separator be customized?
A: Yes. It offers a port customization service and can realize various port directions such as side-in side-out, top-in side-out (pipe connection/end-face connection) and side-in top-out according to the needs of multiple systems.

Q8: How to handle product failures?
A: We implement a strict quality control system, with an out-of-factory defect rate below 0.2%. During the warranty period, small batches of defective products will be replaced with new ones in the next order; batch quality problems will be negotiated for repair or replacement to ensure customer rights.
